The Ideal Machine Division employs a full Quality System including a Quality Procedures Manual and a certified AWS weld inspector on staff. Ideal Machine can satisfy the most demanding customer requirements with personal qualified to ASNT Level II in liquid penetrant and magnetic particle inspection methods. Coupled with the Atlas Tacoma facility Ideal has ultrasonic inspection capabilities and radiographic inspection capability via an 8 MEV linear accelerator to radiograph sections up to 20” in thickness. Ideal’ welders and machinists represent some of the most experienced talent in their trades. Historically Ideal Machine experiences very low employment turnover and our fitters can interpret complicated blueprints, handle cumbersome pieces, and deftly overcome challenges such as compound angles and distortion. Ideal's welders produce some of the highest quality weld deposits, which include awkward out of position welds and TIG welding. Supervisors, managers, and executive personnel regularly engage in monthly Quality Trend Analysis meetings. Non-conformances experienced during the previous month are discussed resulting in proactive solutions for preventing recurrence. All production machines and precision measuring tools are tracked through a formal calibration system.
