COMPANY HISTORY
In April of 2005 Atlas Castings & Technology purchased the assets of Ideal Machine and Manufacturing and created a fourth division of Atlas Castings & Technology the Ideal Machine Division. Ideal Machine & Manufacturing Co. was founded in 1929 as a jobbing machine shop and Incorporated in 1975. In 1981 Atlas Foundry (now Atlas Castings &Technology) as part of US Corp and Ashland purchased Ideal and made it a wholly owned subsidiary. In 1985 Ashland sold Atlas Foundry and Ideal to Leo Long Jr. and Tom Long. In 1989 Leo Long Jr. sold Atlas Foundry to TIC United Corp and retained Ideal Machine as a separate entity. In April of 2005 Atlas Castings & Technology once again purchased of the assets of Ideal Machine and Manufacturing making it part of Atlas once again.
